Bennett provided some tasty folk/soul for the second installment of the Independent Showcase series

Bennett brings the folk and even a little soul to the University Center Ballroom on Thursday.

Bennett began their set as a trio, providing subliminal three-part harmonies and beautiful instrumentation to go along with. To make an intimate show even more intimate, Bennett even found a way to seamlessly unplugged their instruments and take the show to the audience.

As the show progressed, so did the band which ended the show as a quintet,  equipped with drums and bass. Adding this instrumentation drove the show home as the band powered through soul infused rock jams.

After the performance, the band answered questions from the audience and shared their experiences being independent artists in the music industry. The band also shared stories ranging from naming their high school bands to working day jobs, to opening for Lady Antebellum.

The Independent Showcase Series is a unique experience that allows the audience to interact with the artist on a more personal level. With a question and answer period following an intimate performance, artist and audience create an unforgettable night together.
